July 2017:
Barbarian Swimmers originally started in 1967 for scouts and guides, but is now open to all the local children of Hastings and surrounding areas and teaches on average 250 children each Friday evening.
The Club is operated solely by dedicated volunteers who also provide all the teaching each and every week.
Barbarian Swimmers have celebrated their 50th anniversary this year and held two events to celebrate.
Firstly, there was the annual Barbarian Olympics which was a fantastic night with all our Club members having fun and competing against each other to win prizes.
The second, was a Club picnic where our members got to play games and celebrate to the huge success of the Club over the last 50 years.
We would like to say a special thank you to STAnley the Seal from the STA who came to celebrate with us!
